SAN DIEGO CHARGERS LINEBACKER
DONNIE EDWARDS and wife Kathryn promote the JUMP FOR LIFE program on
KUSI with Aimee Fuller January 17, 2006

at Toyon Elementary School in National City.   The segment was seen live on GOOD MORNING SAN DIEGO on KUSI.

San Diego Charger's linebacker Donnie Edwards joined us and spoke about his new program called "Jump for Life". It focuses on the importance of nutrition, physical fitness and goal setting for kids.

The Jump For Life program has been two and a half years in the making, and encompasses educating kids on three main things: health and nutrition, physical fitness, and setting goals.

Said Donnie, "These things kept me focused and interested in what I wanted to do. If you don't have goals at a young age you don't know where you are going to go. Set a goal and start now when you're a kid. Because if you set a goal you know where you are going to be headed. Destination is what it is."

Donnie has also given back to his community. "I took care of my high school, by giving them a new weight room. I'm a product of this beautiful city. I grew up right here...and now playing for the Chargers is like I'm living out a childhood dream.
